Handmade circle skirt and peasant shirt

Today is a Sadie Hawkins Hoe Down for the high school students at Battle Creek Academy.  I made a handmade circle skirt using the tutorial found at Circle Skirt Tutorial .  I made the peasant shirt by cutting apart an old shirt and adding a bit longer sleeves and neck line. I really like the new outfit I made.  I think it fits for fall events well!

Now off to the hoe down as a chaperone!

I have linked up this project with http://imtopsyturvy.com/pinterest-challenge-13/

  1. Your skirt looks great! I've been wanting to make a circle skirt for myself this fall, but I hadn't found a tutorial for one for women, just kids, so I wanted to make sure I'd like the looks of it before I bought the fabric. I love the fall colors in yours, so you've inspired me to make one for myself.

    1. I am glad I am an inspiration to you. The skirt takes a lot of fabric but it turned out so beautiful. This is the second adult size one I made and the first ended up with a asymmetrical hem. Lesson learned, measure twice, cut once.
